ASBESTOS SAMPLING

The identification of asbestos is likely to be the most significant part of the asbestos process. To know if there is a problem you will need to know what the material is and indeed whether it actually contains any asbestos or not.
Some asbestos products can be identified visually but most must be analysed. The best way to ascertain if a product contains any asbestos is to have it sampled by a qualified surveyor. The sample will then be taken to a UKAS accredited laboratory to be analysed.

Asbestos sampling for your home or business

We can attend your premises to take samples and have a certified result within seventy-two hours. In most cases it will be a shorter timeframe. Once the sample results are available we will then be able to confirm whether or not the material contains asbestos and if so what type. The certified results can then be sent immediately to you by email if required.
There are three main types of asbestos - Chrysotile, Amosite and Crocidolite they are usually called white, brown and blue asbestos respectively.
Blue and brown asbestos (the two most dangerous forms) have not been imported into the UK since 1985. White asbestos was banned in 1999.
Visual identification of asbestos-containing materials is not easy and surety can only be achieved by having it tested. Call or email now for prices and availability. testing@sasbestos.com
